Compassionship™ Women’s Leadership Immersive Residential 2025

Leaders create the future, and are in a constant conversation with change. Leadership is the evolution of self for a future that does not yet exist.

BUT WHEN DID YOU LAST TAKE TIME AND SPACE TO CONSIDER YOUR LEADERSHIP?

More than ever female leaders need to connect to resources and skills required to bring forward emerging positive opportunities amidst increasing uncertainty, upheaval, and relentless social change.

For much of the last 15 years we have been talking about VUCA, an acronym for the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world we live in. Today we experience exponential VUCA & the new BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear and Incomprehensible) to describe the current reality characterised by a relentless and increasing speed of change where the amount of data we generate doubles every two years. This rapidly changing world is next level uncertain. In times of uncertainty, trust is paramount; people need to feel confident in their leaders, they want to know what they stand for, what is not changing and, paradoxically, how well they can adapt. Both must be clearly known, understood and articulated.

In this new world, self-evolution and authentic credibility are key in contemporary leadership. Leaders must be self-aware, confident, adaptable sense-makers, who are able to influence outcomes in uncertainty and solve complex challenges. To this end, vertical development is required. Vertical development increases the ability to think in more complex, strategic, systemic, and interdependent ways. Horizontal development focuses on increases knowledge, skills, and competencies while vertical development focuses on transforming and evolving self for the future. To deal with the current context, effective leaders must intentionally invest time in vertical development to reflect deeply and update their mental models to keep pace with an ever-changing environment and landscape.

While women in leadership face many of the same challenges as their male counterparts, there are certain opportunities that come only from being in community with women.

As a female leader you face an additional sets of challenges, and the balance between masculine and feminine leadership is currently out of balance, as it is inside many of us.

There are specific benefits from tapping into and learning how to leverage feminine leadership capabilities in meeting today’s challenges. There are also specific benefits from sitting with other women in powerful conversation and tapping into the individual and collective wisdom. This work is about creating more compassionate connection instead of separation
